MEET THE CHIEFS

The Pioneer Chiefs of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Oke Aro, Akure, Ondo State, were installed by the Lord Bishop of Akure and the Archbishop of Ondo Province, The Most Reverend Simeon Oluwole Borokini, on the 22nd of September, 2024.  

THE BABA IJO

CHIEF FREDRICK O.EMULEOMO

Chief Emuleomo F. O., a native of Itebu Kunmi in the Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, holds a Master’s Degree in Management. He joined the congregation of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Oke-Aro, in 1988 and has since been a dedicated and valuable member of the church community. Over the years, he has served in various capacities, including:

In addition to these roles, Chief Emuleomo has furthered his service to the Lord through several other positions:

Chief Emuleomo has also received numerous national and international awards in recognition of his excellence and service, both within and outside the church.

THE ASIWAJU OKUNRIN IJO

CHIEF EDWARD OLUWOLE ABOLUJE

Chief Edward Oluwole Aboluje FCA was born 67 years ago in Ise Quarters, Ifira-Akoko South East Local Government Area of Ondo State to the family of Late chief Gideon Aboluje, the Giwa of St. Peter's Anglican Church, Ifira-Akoko and Late Maria Olayinka Aboluje.

EDUCATION
He attended St. Peter's Anglican School, Ifira Akoko. After his General Certificatei n Education (GCE O'L), he proceeded of Federal Polytechnic, Akure which was later moved to Ado Ekiti where he obtained his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Administration in year 2000 at Ondo State University, Akungba Akoko.
He also possess a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology, Akure in 1994. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Taxation and also an Associate Member of Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered).

WORK EXPERIENCE

Mr. Oluwole Aboluje, FCA, worked with many organisations, both Federal, State and Private Sectors. He worked briefly with the Ministry of finance (Treasury Cash Office) Ondo State between 1979 and 1980. He served at First Bank of Nigeria PLC as a youth corper (National Youth Service Corps) Yola Adamawa State 1983/84 year. He also worked with the Ondo State Agricultural Credit Corporation in 1984 to 1985. Also an employee of Ondo State Teaching Service Commission between 1985 and 1986. He later joined the services of The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State where he finally retired as the Director of Budget in the Bursary Department in June 2023.

THE IYA IJO

CHIEF (MRS) MOJISOLA OMOLARA AYODELE

Chief Mrs. Mojísolá Omolará Ayodélé was born seven decades ago to the family of Pa Samuel Ìbùkún Aládé and Chief (Mrs) Victoria Olúwárèmí Aládé, both of blessed memory. Her late father, Pa Samuel Ìbùkún Aládé, was a renowned educationist and the author of the book titled "TheAwakening of Àkúre. Her mother, Chief (Mrs) Victoria Oluremi Alade, made history as the first-ever female Chairperson of Akure Local Government Council, which later split in Akure North and Akure South Local Government Councils. She was also the lya Ewe of St. David's Anglican Cathedral, Akure from 1985 until her passing to Glory in 2021. Additionaly, she was the Proprietress Victory Nursery & Primary School, Akure.

Mrs. Mojísolá Omolará Ayodélé received her early education at Local AuthorityPrimary School, Àkúre. She then attended Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School, Àkúre, for her secondary education. She continued her studies at ikere College of Education, where she obtained her National Certificate of Education in French Studies. Furthering her education, she attended the Centre International de Recherche in Cotonou, Benin Republic, for French Studies. She completed her NYSC youth service at Àkúre Secondary Commercial School, Akúre, where she was retained as a French teacher due to the scarcity of French teachers. She worked there for twelve years until she voluntarily retired in 1994 to assist her mother in running Victory Nursery and Primary School, Akúre, where she was appointed General Supervisor.

Mrs. Mojísolá Omolará Ayodélé is happily married to Mr. Bàmidélé Ayodélé, and their marriage is blessed with God-fearing,loving,and caring children and many promising grandchildren.

THE OTUN IJO

HON. IBIKUNLE JOHNSON ASHAOLU

Hon. Ibikunle Johnson Ashaolu was born in Akure in 1957. From 1964 to 1969, he began his primary education at L.A. Primary School, Ikeja, and later completed his secondary education at Ikeja Grammar School, Oshodi, in 1976, achieving a WASC Grade 1.

From 1976 to 1977, he worked briefly with the Ondo State Judiciary. Driven by a desire for further education, Ibikunle became one of the pioneer students at the Federal Polytechnic Akure (now Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti) in 1977. In 1979, he gained admission to the University of Benin, where he studied Pharmacy, graduating in 1984.

In 1985, Pharm. Ashaolu completed his internship under the mentorship of Pharm. B.O.B. Subulade and Dr. Victor Simbo Kiladejo (now the Oba Osemawe of Ondo). The following year, in 1986, he fulfilled his mandatory NYSC service at Ojike Memorial Medical Centre in Arondizuogu, Ideato LGA, Imo State.

In 1988, Pharm. Ashaolu married his beloved wife, Ronke Adunola (née Kolade), at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Isikan, and together, they became pioneer worshippers at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Oke Aro. The following year, in 1989, he founded and incorporated Welfast Pharmacy Ltd.
In 1997, he was appointed Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (Ondo State).

Pharm. Ashaolu's career took a political turn in 2006 when he became the pioneer Chairman of the Labour Party (Akure South), which successfully supported Dr. Mimiko's election as Governor. In 2009, he was sworn in as the first Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in Ondo State.
In 2017, Hon. Ashaolu became the President of the Akure Owena Lions Club.


THE ASIWAJU OBINRIN IJO

CHIEF (MRS) OLAWAYE FLORENCE AJAYI

Mrs. Olawaye Florence Ajayi was born on September 28, 1947. Her father, Pa Gabriel Saye, lived on Ojumu Street, and her mother, Ariwodola Idowu, resided on Mosalasi Street (now Arakale Street) in Akure. Both of her parents are of blessed memory.

She began her education at Saint Michael’s Primary School in Akure and later attended Saint Francis Modern School in Akure, where she earned her Modern Three Certificate. Afterward, she trained as a tailor in Akure and completed her apprenticeship. She then moved to Osogbo, where she worked at the General Hospital.

In 1969, she married Oladele Olawaye, who was a teacher at Timi Agbale Grammar School in Ede at the time. Their marriage was blessed with lovely children. Mrs. Ajayi later returned to Akure and became a successful businesswoman. She was among the first set of worshippers at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Oke-Aro, Akure.

As a dedicated member of the Ayanfe Kristi group, she initially served as Treasurer under the leadership of the late Mama Fadeni. A few years ago, she was appointed President of Ayanfe Kristi and has since appreciated the cooperation, sacrifice, and financial contributions of its members, which have made the society stand out as one of the finest.

In addition to her leadership role, Mrs. Ajayi has been a long-time member of the Harvest Committee and Egbe Ajumogbadura at Holy Trinity Church. She expresses her heartfelt gratitude to God, the congregation of Holy Trinity, her family, and friends for their unwavering support in making this occasion a reality.

CHIEF AKINSIKU SAMUEL FISAYO

Chief Akinsiku Samuel Fisayo was born on June 2, 1970, into the family of Chief Daniel Akinsiku, the Losare of Ondo Kingdom, and Mrs. Olaseji Mariam Akinsiku of 14 Ijoka Street, Ondo, both of blessed memory.

THE IYA EWE

PRINCESS ADEBISI ABIMBOLA ABIDAKUN

Princess Adebisi Abimbola Abidakun was born in the 1970s into the royal family of the late Prince Johnson Adedayo Adesida and Mrs. Clara Titilayo Adesida (née Babalola), both of Akure origin. She completed her primary and secondary education in Warri, Delta State, before obtaining a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) at Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.Sc. Ed) in Chemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Educational Management at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.



CAREER:
Princess Abidakun began her teaching career in 2001 and has worked at various schools, including:
  • Omoluorogbo Grammar School (2001–2009)
  • Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School (2009–2021)
  • Ijapo High School, Ijapo (2021–present)
In addition to her teaching career, she is an entrepreneur, involved in fish and poultry farming. Her passion for educating and empowering the younger generation led to the establishment of Tayville Academy in Ilekun, Akure, founded by her husband.

Princess Abidakun also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for:

CHRISTIAN LIFE:
A devoted member of the Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) and Egbe Ore Ofe Kristi at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Oke-Aro, Akure, Princess Abidakun actively serves as a Bible Study teacher. She currently holds the position of People's Warden in the church and previously served as a Verger, demonstrating her strong commitment to her faith and the church community.

PERSONAL LIFE:
Princess Abidakun is happily married to Hon. Omotayo Abidakun, and their marriage is blessed with wonderful and promising children.



THE ALORE IGBAGBO

CHIEF (MRS) EMULEOMO M.A

Mrs. Emuleomo M. A. hails from Iwaro-oka Akoko in Akoko South West LGA of Ondo State. She obtained the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agricultural Extension and Management from the Federal University of Technology, Akure(FUTA) and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Agricultural Economics and Extension from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

In pursuit of the divine agenda and calling, she attended and graduated from:

    Certificate in Children Evangelism
2. Harvest Time International Bible College
    Diploma in Biblical Ministry

    Certificate in teaching children effectively

She undertook Holy Pilgrimage to Jerusalem (JP) to further deepen her religious belief. She was the Secretary of Mother's Union in her parish - Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Oke-Aro, Akure, for many years and also delegate to Mother's Union Conferences for so many years. Recipient of 2014 Women Organization Mother of the Year Award - St. Luke's Anglican Church, Isarun Ifedore LGA. She is at present the Sub-zonal Secretary of Evangelical Fellowship of Anglican Communion (EFAC).

A member of Egbe Ayanfe Kristi Holy TrinityAnglican Church, Oke-Aro, Akure. Member of Young Women Christian Association Akure Chapter. She is happily married and blessed with God fearing children.


THE IYA EGBE AYA BISHOP

CHIEF (MRS) ADEYELU MERCY BUKOLA

Chief (Mrs) Adeyelu Mercy Bukola was born to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Adeyemo Alabi, on the 17th of January 1964. She had her Primary education in L.E.A girls primary school, Kaduna between1974 to 1979 and her secondary education at Mokin Comprehensive High School Ilara Mokin between 1980 and 1985. She later proceeded to College of Education Ikere Ekiti for theNC.E course which she completed in1994 and was employed by Ondo State Teaching Service in 1995. She completed her degree and masters in Education respectively in 1998 and 2017. She crossed from Teaching Service to the Civil Service as Education Officer in 2001 where eventually she rose to the rank as a Director in Ondo State Public Service Institute, Ilara Mokin in 2017, a post she held until her retirement from service in January 2024. She is married with children. Mrs. M.B. Adeyelu and her family joined Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Oke Aro Akure in 1997, when the family relocated to Akure from Ore. She is a member of mother's union and Egbe Ayanfe Kristi in the Church. She served as the Harvest Chairperson of that Society in 2007.
