Holy
Trinity Anglican Church, Oke – Aro, Akure, started by Venerable M.D. Dare in
the year 1982. Some Members of St. Thomas’ Anglican Church building committee
that started Holy Trinity Anglican Church were Reverend Adewole (Chairman),
Chief Akintola, Chief Osatuyi, Chief Faleye, Mr. M.O. Alofun and Mr. W.A. Arije
(Secretary).
The
above named people were faced with series of challenges and the one worth
notable is that of C
hief Aderemi Oruntan who took both Venerable M.D. Dare and
all other members to Ijoko-Ojogbon (A dispute resolve program held at OSRC)
pertaining to the land the church was built on.
CHURCH SERVICE
The
first service was held on 1st Sunday in June, 1982, by lay – reader
M.O. Alofun who preached the first sermon at the church. Other members at the
service were:
